Klebsiella Data Journey

Temporal pattern of Klebsiella (non K. pneumoniae) and related Raoultella species

There have been 13 Klebsiella species identified as of July 8th 2020. These range from those most frequent, e.g. K. pneumoniae and K. aerogenes, to newly identified species such as K. indica and K. spallanzanii. The genus Raoultella is closely-related to Klebsiella and so we have included it in this analysis.

There are 10,193 isolates recorded worldwide, among them 1,687 isolates do not have date (year) information, see details in the table below. The year represents the date of isolation for all Klebsiella species except for Klebsiella africana where the isolation date was not available so the publication year is shown.

The stacked column chart shows the number of Klebsiella and Raoultella species isolates excluding Klebsiella pneumoniae. To explore the interactive features, click on the legend of the species (coloured box) to display the temporal pattern of that species, clicking again will revert to display all 16 species. Once a species is selected, you can sort by year of isolation (Sort values box).

Explore the number of isolates from different countries by clicking on a species and using the sort.
