World Meningitis Day

World Meningitis Day, the brainchild of Bob Werner, co-founder of the Becky Werner Meningitis Foundation and coordinator of the first ever World Meningitis Day

At the time Director General Bob Werner, after discussions with his wife Dee Dee, presented the idea of organising a kind of World Meningitis Day to raise awareness and give all organisations a tool to raise awareness in their part of the world.

Early on this idea was adopted, so "I was given the task of getting World Meningitis Day off the ground. I worked in this position for the first few years and was very excited by the response we got from around the world. revealed Bob werner

Let's talk about World Meningitis Day

Established in 2009, World Meningitis Day is an event that aims to raise awareness of the disease and promote Meningitis Solutions. It is a day to raise awareness of the disease. It is important to know that meningitis is a disease that is little known by the world population. The lack of knowledge of the causes, risk factors, signs and consequences of the disease disrupts the life and health of human lives.    According to the Confederation of Meningitis Organisations, Today, there are approximately 2.5 million new cases of meningitis.

Thus, one of the public health goals set by WHO is to defeat meningitis by 2030. Meningitis awareness is essential to achieving this goal.
